About me

Nature has always been my main inspiration of my work and my ultimate goal is creating ambience in spaces in buildings, homes, rooms & healing places.  Additionally, some of my bodies of work over time has been centered around social & environmental issues, such as the 'Pollinator Series'.

Educated mostly in Bucks County, PA in the late 1970's with an all arts and humanities degree program, I've studied many forms of art and love them all. Drawing, painting, glassblowing, welding, woodworking, printmaking, pottery & ceramics… and of course photography.  {And then business to keep my ambidextrous brain in balance!}  Since my main focus was darkroom BW Photography, it's been best to keep that as the centering factor around which all other passions revolve.  No longer using the traditional darkroom, the new editing programs have been much more productive and less toxic alternative to that, though she admits she misses the smell of rapid fixer.

I've lived in & visited many inspirational spots in this country & have been an artist, mainly a photographer for decades across many mainstream venues such as portraits, weddings, events & have even owned an old time photo shop in Colorado in the mid 1980's.  I've shot many formats from 35mm to 2 1/4 square to 4xt5 to all the way to 8x10.  Printed on many surfaces, from traditional photo paper to specialty papers such as threaded mulberry, canvas, silks, even metal transfers.  I'm also diving into illuminating spaces with papers, images & botanics.  Always remembering to keep it at three!  Triple Vision

I have participated in art shows and studio tours in the WNC area since 2013 and also an invitational show in New Hope PA.  I'm a member of the Asheville River Arts District RAD & RADA & RADBA, The Toe River Arts TRA and the New Hope Arts League NHAL.
